About Preschool
Hello, and welcome to the Mullumbimby Community Preschool, or 'Dinosaur' as we are affectionately known by the community.
Hours of Operation during NSW School Terms:
Monday - Wednesday Group (3 days) 9:00 am to 3:00 pm - Catering for children 4-5 years olds going to school the following year.
Thursday - Friday Group (2 days) 8:30am - 4:00 pm - catering for children 3-4 years old.
Please Note: Due to licensing requirements all children must be signed out 5 minutes prior to closing time and off the premises by closing time.
We provide a supportive, educational and creative program for children between 3 and 5 years of age. We are a community based non-profit organisation funded and licensed by the Department of Community Services. The Preschool is licensed for 25 children per day and has been supporting the development and diversity of children, family and the community in Mullumbimby for over 40 years.
Our preschool employs qualified early childhood educators with long term experience in providing a safe and happy environment in which children are encouraged to explore, make choices and decisions, develop social skills, interact with peers and adults, extend self-initiated play, and promote independence. The Preschool is managed by parents and members of the community, with a committee elected at our AGM each February.
We acknowledge the Arakwal Bundjalung people who are the traditional custodians of this land, and elders past and present.
